How to Use ConvertBox
As mentioned above, there are dozens, if not hundreds of different ways to use ConvertBox. The real power lies in customization and personalization, so instead of just setting it up as a lead generation tool, you should look through all the features to deliver a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
For Lead Generation
Despite all the features, ConvertBox is, at its core, a lead generation device. Since leads are so important to engaging with your ideal customer, whoever has the most qualified leads generally turns around the most business. There are lots of different software on the market today that promise this -- and accomplish it to varying degrees -- but ConvertBox is making a strong case to be the eventual market leader.
One area in which ConvertBox stands apart is in its integration. Instead of requiring the use of a plug-in, ConvertBox is installed on your WordPress website by a single code in the header script. How to Set Up ConvertBox

Creating a new ConvertBox is helpful when you just need to create one-off pop-ups, but creating a group allows you to store and organize your old pop-ups for future use.
Having an entire group dedicated to exit pop-ups, for instance, allows you to not only reuse old ones, but copy the templates and view the data on what worked for future pop-ups. You can also choose to tweak existing pop-ups by going to the group and finding the exact one that you want to use. Without this kind of organization, it can be a challenge to find the exact pop up that you're looking for.
Once you've decided on setting up a group or an individual ConvertBox, you'll have the option of selecting between a variety of different templates. This is an especially welcome addition, considering that many services not only charge you for initial access to their platform, but also up-charge you to access premium templates. From the start, ConvertBox offers a wide variety of colors, templates, and buttons that you can customize within the editor itself, many of which are very impressive to look at.
From there, it's a simple drag-and-drop content editor to customize the pop up to your liking. The options that are on the left-hand side of the screen allow you to insert text, buttons, video, images, progress bars, and a bunch of other options to the form. However you want to design it is completely up to you, and their numerous tutorials that will help you figure out what works best. And if you want to design it purely from scratch, you can do that too.
One of the other welcome additions to ConvertBox is the ability to create variations of the same form. This is especially handy if you're wanting to split test a certain pop-up, but are unsure about what color and text you want to put inside of it. With a variety of different variations, you can test them all at the same time, then come back later to decide which one works best.
How's the Targeting With ConvertBox?
If ConvertBox is really going to be as customizable as they say, then the behind the scenes of ConvertBox needs to be just as impressive as the front-end software, especially in the targeting options. ConvertBox calls these audience events “triggers,” and you can choose from several different actions that will then create a response from ConvertBox itself. Some of the available options include user time on page, inactivity, page abandonment and link clicking. Best of all, you can either select just one of them, or click several to combine several options.
After that, you can set the frequency for your pop-up. You can choose whether or not you want to show the specific ConvertBox one or more times per session, with a maximum amount of times per day.
Then, ConvertBox gives you the option to select which pages you want to include or exclude on your pop-up on. Setting the locations for your pop-up to appear, as with other ones, is straightforward.
When all of that is taken care of, the last option that ConvertBox gives you is conditional targeting. If a person takes a certain action, for instance, it can show a follow-up pop-up that is completely different, helping to expedite the conversion process. This is the part of the process that really sets the software apart from the others — without the follow-up, you're basically guessing as to what action you want them to take next.
After that, you name the popup, set the status to active or inactive (or schedule it to start appearing at a certain time), and then press finish. Once you do that, your ConvertBox is active.
